Who we are Meet the team Staff Zeta MacDonald - Deputy Chief Executive Zeta developed an interest in criminal justice while studying criminology at university, which led her to become a pen pal to a prisoner in Malta. She has worked for a range of organisations, including The National Trust, the NHS, and a charity supporting girls and young women from disadvantaged backgrounds across the UK. She joined Prisoners Abroad in 2001, beginning her career in human resources. While working here, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and later became the organisation’s Company Secretary. She is now a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel & Development. Zeta plays a key role in ensuring the sustainability of Prisoners Abroad, with a primary focus on generating the income needed to support its vital frontline services and external-facing work.
