Theo Cresser - Information & Impact Officer

Theo’s journey at Prisoners Abroad started in 1997 as a casework volunteer using language skills from his BA Hons in French and Drama. A caseworker for several years, he has visited British prisoners in Thailand, Jamaica and Ecuador, and a few who had transferred back to the UK.  

Theo is now responsible for developing our monitoring and evaluation processes and evidencing the impact of the organisation’s work. The most enjoyable part of this role is reading what people have said about how we have helped them and sharing this with the team. 

Theo also produces and designs many of our publications including the handbooks and the client newsletter. For a period, he worked part-time at Prisoners Abroad alongside a role as Programme Tutor for the Probation Service in London. His extra-curricular activities include producing artwork for festivals and live events and singing with a community choir in Hackney.
