Who we are Meet the team Staff Christopher Gray - Human Rights Adviser Christopher joined Prisoners Abroad in January 2024. He advises on the application of international human rights law to British people arrested and detained overseas. Previously, Christopher was an academic, specialising in international law and comparative approaches to human rights in the criminal justice system. He taught at the University of Bristol and the University of The Gambia. He has previously worked in a range of other roles in the human rights field, including for advocacy groups and NGOs, for special procedures of the UN Human Rights Council, as a consultant, and as a researcher for barristers and solicitors. Christopher has a LLB in Law from the University of Birmingham, and a LLM International Law, MSc Socio-legal Studies, and PhD in Law from the University of Bristol.
